Joy’s Journey

As the 2019 Florida Teacher of the Year and Christa McAuliffe Ambassador for Education, Joy Prescott has embarked on an incredible journey across our state and nation. Her work as 2019 Florida Teacher of the Year has been both dynamic and highly rewarding. She has participated in events that have celebrated the teaching profession, given back to her community through volunteering, and shared her story to inspire future educators. She has also invested in her own learning through professional development, taught and shared with her growing professional network, and shared her message focused on the importance of Social Emotional Learning with a wide variety of audiences.
